Menu Maker: Recipes from Class 5 at West Twyford

Miss Muir's Marsden Cake

This is very rich but it is still difficult to only eat one slice. Cut into large pieces to be popular with your guests!

Serves 12-16

Ingredients
½ lb digestive biscuits (200 g) crushed
1 Tsp syrup
2 Tbsp drinking chocolate or cocoa
2 Tsp sugar
¼ lb (100 g) margarine/butter

Method
Melt ingredients except biscuit crumbs together (40 seconds in microwave).
Add biscuit crumbs.
Press into cake tin and leave to harden in the fridge.
Melt 6oz (150g) chocolate and spread over.
