Do dragons really exist?

From rebecca, 13, Blacktown, Sydney, Australia

Dragons really do exist. I believe in them and so should you. I reckon there was a time were medieval times had faeries and dragons and magic, wizards, warlocks and witches.

From Taylah, 10, Don Valley, Victoria, Australia

I think Dragons did exist because my uncle is a scientist and he knows about dragons. He is an excellent uncle and he is very clever. He is exploring the dinosours around the world and soon will become an archeologist. He has found many bones that are interesting and is now a brilliant scientist. Many People belive in Dragons and lots of other things.

From Sarah, 10, Austin, Texas, US

Everthing and anything can exist, even if we don't see them, even if we don't believe in them, even if we think they're gone.

From Gregor, 9, Sheffield, England

Of course dragons exist. They have just gone into hiding a bit more since technology has developed. I should know, as I am a Dragon Hunter.

From Angel, , Liberty, Texas, US

I believe dragons do exist just not in this dimension. We live in a 3-dimension world, we don't see(or at least most don't see)the first two dimensions. Just because something is not on our immediate dimension doesn't mean that it does not exist. I do believe at one time dragons had a way of transfering from one dimension to another by will. And that is why many peaple claimed to see them in the Middle Ages, but when people started to kill them they stopped teaching their young how to do that out of pure need for survival. The Elders may still know how to transport, but are afraid of being hunted and killed.

From Julia, 12, Marlborough, Massachusetts, US

I believe that dragons existed at one point. Political leaders a long time agitated the dragons, so killed them. The only reason the dragons didn't defend themselves was because they loved the humans. The reason why we haven't found any is because the leaders would have wanted no evidence of the dragons existence to remain.
The way they did this was by burning them, leaving no trace of their corpses, preventing fossils from being created.
What if the dragons started dying out about 1000 years ago, is that enough time for fossils to form anyway?

From Rebecca, 15, Marlborough, Massachusetts, US

I beleive that dragons exist, they're just not alive anymore. In the Christian religion, good people go to Heaven, bad people go to Hell. So, there could also be a place for dragons to go. I believe that dragons loved humans, or at least most dragons did. The only reason humans started to turn on them, I beleive, is beacause of political leaders, like kings and such. So, since that dragons would have loved humans, they wouldn't have fought back, and they would die. Also, not all of one species or nation thinks the same. There are always some cold hearted ones, who think differently then the rest. And for some reason, bad qualities always seem to stick out. Like if an evil sadistic dragon decides to burn down a village just for the fun of it, that one incident would be thrown into the faces of all dragons. So, humans would start hating and killing dragons. So, basically, I think that dragons did exist at one time on this planet, they were just all killed off. If lack of fossils or something makes people just say that they never did, then think about this... What if the bones never stayed long enough to fossilize. What if they turned to dust or something. For instance, not all dinosuars were preserved, not every dino-skeleton stayed complete or solid.

From Jasmine, 11, Norwood, Ontario, Canada

Yes, I believe dragons do still live or have lived. They've been covering it up and telling us lies. Some dinasours even live until this day. In Alaska there have been sightings of bird like things as long as a small plane with leathery wings. There have even washed up bodies of water dragons similar to Nessie. I'm not kidding around, I may be wrong but I doubt it, I've always had hope that there were dragons still living.

From Ebonie, 9, Southport, Queensland, Australia

Yes, I think they do exist. Otherwise, how could they have got all the information they got about dragons if they didn't even exist? And why do knights go off into the forest or somewhere and never come back? Because dragons ate them for dinner!

From Joe, 13, Garston, Hertfordshire, England

Ever since I had a dream about a dragon, I kind of knew they existed. I mean, all those pictures and descriptions had to come from somewhere, didn't they? Who could have just made it all up? Dragons did exist, and they still exist today. It's just a matter of how you see the world.

From Natalie, 14, New South Wales, Australia

I think dragons do exist and the reason they have not found any bones is because they are like sharks and their bones turn to dust when they die.

From Cassie, 9, St. Leonards, England

Do dragons really exist?

From Sophia, 14, United Kingdom

I just want to say that it is up to you whether dragons exist, because if we as people do not believe in them then they shall waste away, and become extinct. Humanity is so wrapped up in modern day that some might think dragons are a waste of time and criticise people that do believe!
We are selfish to think that we are the only life forms, including animals, that exist on earth. They must exist, only we are to narrow minded to notice. If we do not believe in them they shall disappear, and that goes for all of the unknown beings such as faires and mermaids.
So if you want to believe feel free it is not your fault that the world has lost the ability to believe with out seeing proof first!

From Sarah, 10, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK

I think there are dragons but they are lizards.

From Ruth, 12, Winsford, Cheshire, UK

Hey, I wonder whether dragons really do exist. Do you think so?

From Maisie, 10, Leicester, UK

I think dragons are a type of mythical creature which live inside your mind. They are a vision which play with your head and will be in stories for many years.

From Dotty and Flame, 13, London

We think that dragons do exist, but only if you truly belive in them. Some people would say it is in the state of the mind but we completely disagree with this. We think that dragons are rare magical creatures but they do not fit in with today's modern technology and beliefs. This is the reason why so few people believe in their existence. Just like Amur tigers - they are rapidly becoming extinct. It is our fault that these amazing MAGREMERS (magical creatures) are so shy and are very, very rarely seen. With our help, love, respect and belief dragons will once more be able to live on this wonderful Earth without living in constant fear of man.

From Helly, 12, Long Eaton, Nottingham, UK

Hiya people. I don't believe dragons exist ............ as if! But if you want to then you do that. Dragons might of lived like zilions of years ago, but not anymore, but if you disagree with me, then hey, o well. Who knows.......... what if they do exist?

From Gem, 12, Long Eaton, Nottingham, UK

I think that dragons are like dinosaurs that were supposed to be extinct but some were are still living.

From Hanifah, 7, High Wycombe, UK

No I don't believe that dragons exist. I just think they are made up.
