The secret wish
By Theodore, 11

It was an inclement day in October and all through it I had been picked on by other children. They shouted, "If you snitch, then we will pick on you even more!"

They ripped up my homework, which was due in today, so then the teacher was shouting at me (which is also what they wanted).

When I eventually got home, I trudged to my room and then onto my comfy, bouncy bed. I wished that I could travel to a far away island. My bedroom started to dissolve into thin air and I shut my eyes to see if it was a dream.

When I opened my eyes, I found myself on a beach covered from head to toe with sand. The area was filled with mango & coconut trees. Although scared by the feeling that I might never see my family again, the sound of the humming birds relaxed me.
