Clouds sucking up darkness
Scared animals take cover
Rain pounds the pavements.
Destructive winds.

Storm

sun beaming down on the world
birds singing peacefully.

The storm was coming
wolves howling
dogs barking
litter flying everywhere

The storm is going
streets have being destroyed
houses gone
heaps of bricks everywhere.

The Storm

The wind starts howling, people start running
yelling "The storm is coming the storm is coming!!"
Clouds start to go grey dangerously fast,
leaves people's lives to last.
A tornado starts swirling around
starts destroying the ground.
Suddenly rain starts pounding down with horrendous force.
ZAP, CRASH, BURN, now thunder comes out to play,
this storm has gone on all day
with thunder, wind and rain.
Finally Mother Nature has had enough fun
and leaves the rest to another day to come.

Quiet…too quiet…
Clouds pitch black and starless,
Something was brewing,
Rain dripping from colourless sky,
Trees rustling,
Dogs barking, Wolves howling.
What do they know?

A clock struck midnight, DING DONG,
Suddenly the wind grew destructive,
A deluge started rushing quickly,
Something ripping at my roof,
Slicing off the tiles,
Lightning getting furious,
Thunder going wild.
What shall I do until morning comes?

My curtains shut but sun can still get through,
Rain dripping from the gutter,
Birds tweeting peacefully,
Water flowing down the road outside.
How do I know when the next one will arrive?

It was quiet, something was coming…
In the distance dogs howling.
Trees swaying like elegant dancers.
Clouds swiftly running across the sky.
Darkness descending over the bright day.
No birdsong, silence rules.
A drop came from the midnight sky.
Falling onto the colourful leaves.

The rain beating down on roofs, sounding like powerful drums.
The wind whistling like a train at top speed.
The thunder rumbling like a stampede of animals.
The lightening lighting up the jet black sky.
The sound slicing through my bedroom walls.

An exceptionally chilly night,
Trees swayed calmly,
Wind blew mildly,
Clouds dark as death,
They slowly tore,
There was sense
of storms approaching,

Scared people everywhere,
Cutting blades of lighting
in the deadly black sky,
SUDDENLY there was a bang!
It was so strong animals
rising up from the ground,
The sky blackened,
Thunder rolled,
We didn't know
how much longer
we had to live,
Tiles fell off
rooftops,
Our windows shattered
as thunder struck,

The storm came to a
halt within seconds,
It was extremely weird,
We looked out the window,
Everything was demolished,
We screamed as we saw
animals dead!

A slight drizzle tiptoed on the roof,
like the sound of a horses hoof,
a small thunder crackled and a cat yowled,
By then the wind had howled.

The lightning ripped through the air,
like the claw of an infuriated bear,
the wind threw off the tiles,
they seemed to go for miles,
then the rain slowed down,
and I saw the mess in the town.

Parts of houses were torn,
the brakes on cars were worn,
valuables were ripped apart,
the wind had been 12 on the Beaufort chart.

UNTIL…..

Cutting, slicing, storms
People screaming, shivering
Trees howled loudly.
Pushing tree to tree,
Left to right.

Rain poured down violently, fiercely.
Winds daggered the freezing cold air.
The thunder wildly sliced the sky.

Birds flew off branches,
like rockets.
Winds stopped, lightning stopped, everything stopped.(October 2004)

The Deluge

Trees quietly singing in the breeze.
Clouds darkly fluffing up threatening a deluge.
The storm is brewing,
everything is turning from calm to rough very quickly.


Waves crashing,
sand blowing,
umbrellas turning inside out.
Wind battering the shutters of the beach huts,
seagull's rush for shelter.
The storm is here.

All quiet now,
the storm has past,
silence fills the air.
Now the wind isn't blowing anyone's hair.

Everything was calm,
birds singing,
cats asleep in the warm sun.

Trees started to rustle,
waves got bigger and bigger,
drops of rain splashed the muddy ground,
sky getting darker.
Clouds got bigger and bigger,
filling with darkness.
It was raining heavily.

Then the storm was over,
the sun crept out,
and the cat came from under the tree.

Shivering under my dovet really scared.

Rain calming down.
Blue patches reappearing in the sky.
Sunshine seaping through.
Rain trickles down the gutter.
Everything washed clean.

Darkness and coldness hovered outside,
Trees rustling,
Whistling in bluster,
Wind forcefully blowing,
Clouds dancing across darkening sky,
Drizzly rain showering down.

Suddenly a frightning flash bolted across the sky,
Eyes staring through windows,
Thunder growling,
Tyles flying like frisbees,
Violent wind distroying all in its way.

Thunder slowly fades away,
Lightning stops suddenly,
Sun appears from behind dark clouds,
Birds singing once again,
The storm has gone,
Like a candle in the breeze.

All was quiet… too quiet, something was brewing…
Outside all was fine, trees swayed, people strolled.
The lake was still, still as can be.

Then in minutes the sky turned deadly black
wind battered the village, distorying everything in its path
The shutters banged and clattered against the windows
CRASH!!! The lightning struck through the roof, rain continuously poured through.

The storm had passed over, all was normal once again.
