Any Purpose Spell

By Kath, 12, Harrogate, UK

Create a sentence that summarises what you want. Be clear, and aim for one thing at a time. Write it down, take the first letter of every word. If any letters are repeated, reduce them to just one.
Take all the letters and create a monogram of them. It's fine for lines to overlap or be written backwards.
You should end up with a magickal looking but indecipherable symbol.
When you are emotionally charged up, stare at it. No need to recall its intent- your subconcius will do that for you. The greater the energy directed at it, the bigger the end result.
(This can be made stonger by anointing green candles with lavender oil and burning them whilst performing the spell)
(January 2004)

Magic

By Ben, 10, Southport, UK

The scent of magic,
The wish of dreams.
Spells abnormal,
Spells obscene.
Spells of life,
Spells of death.

Spells lurk every where,
In every corner,
In every room.
Spells of magic,
Spells of dreams.
Every spell we see,
we conjure up indeed,
All shall be conceived

Doctor Dolittle

By Charlotte, 13, Glasgow, Scotland

To make this spell work you need to have a pet, very good hearing and concentration.

1. Touch your animal's head around the brain area.
2. Have them calm and relaxed so nothing's going through their brains to stop them from concentrating.
3. Put a cross along their heads with water from your ring finger and keep your finger in the centre.
4. Now chant
CHARGE OF A BULL
BITE OF A RAT
GIVE ME A PET THAT CAN CHIT AND CHAT

And if that doesn't work then you might want to smarten your pet up a bit then.
