Rye Ting Block
Texas Torture Chamber, Room 11

You know writing block. Every time you need to write an important paper or thesis she comes.

She lies in wait, patiently dormant, until you need to write. She emerges from the tips of your fingers traveling up your arm, and pausing to gnaw at your wrist. The agonizing cramp her sharp teeth cause, make you pause and shake your arm. This gives her time to race through you r arm and neck, and into your mind. Slowly, she coils herself around the creative section of your brain, and blocks the words that will salvage your GPA, once put on paper.

Her nickname is stress. Scientists have developed the Stress Ball to keep her from doing too much harm. When you squeeze the Stress Ball, the slow rhythm pulses up your arm and rocks her gently to sleep. Still coiled up, she lets down her fence and the creative thoughts can flow once more. But once the pulse of the stress ball stops, she slowly awakens and coils herself more tightly.

She is a pink cloud whose every molecule is sharp and painful, her eyes a bewitching pale green. She feeds on frustration, and once you are done writing, she slips back to the tips of your fingers, patiently waiting. I think she has come to visit me now, so I can not tell you anymore.
