Feelings: My first sight of MGB

My first sight of MGB was in the spring of 2000, with the cherry trees in full blossom. It has the most beautiful campus of all Nottingham's schools - in those days there were no school bells to frighten the deer that grazed right up to the fence.

I met Mike Firbank at Reception, and by the end of the day we had both been appointed - in my case, at least, to a job that I have loved from start to finish.

I am sorry to see the closure of MGB, although I feel that personally I am ready for a new challenge.

I don't think I shall ever return to the MGB site when I leave in July - I have no wish to see it changed into a building site. I shall leave with happy memories intact.
