The Planet of Dreams

Chapter Two

written by McGregor,
Tabubil International School, Papua New Guinea

Suddenly there was a screech as a man, with extra large biceps, had skidded to a halt, puffing deeply. He took a deep breath and said in a deep voice “All you kids shall follow me to the Wonderland!”

He turned and started stomping along a path that led to some trees. Jade, who was scared of everything, had tried to dream him away but it did not work, she realized that friends or foe cannot always be dreamed into thin air.

Then the large man said, “No single soul could eliminate any other soul in Wonderland, except for the wonder Mon Wo. Who has not eliminated a single soul yet and never has because of her love for everything”.

What could that mean the children wondered. They walked along the path through the forest. It was as dark as a storm though very peaceful. All the children were humming with the birds. The path that they were walking on was scattered with leaves and flowers. The kids were staring around the forest and were amazed to see lots of new trees bloom in a very few seconds, new flowers were popping everywhere.

They came to a fork in the path and were surprised when the extra large man turned into a tiny dwarf with a squeaking voice. And in his squeaking voice he said, "All of you children will have to choose a way to go, it is either left or right".

The children huddled, and then a boy with dark black hair got up and said, "Which is the best route?"

The dwarf said,
"One way is happy and one may be bad,
Choose the wrong one and you could be sad.
Pick the right way for you to go,
Which it is only I know."

And with that he disappeared in a puff of blue smoke.

Which way do you want to go?
