75 large white turnips (or 150 smaller ones)
Boil the turnips until cooked through. When they're cool, peel off the skins and slice them. Arrange some of the slices in a very large dish, cover with a layer of cheese, some honey and then sprinkle with spices. Repeat with further layers of turnips and cheese until there are no more turnips. Finish with a layer of cheese. Place the dish beside a hot fire, turning frequently until the pie is golden brown and cooked through. Serve immediately.
