Snobby Friends

By Caitie, 11, USA

I have a friend that is so snobby to my other friends! She is an only child and wants all the attention to herself! I have other friends too.
But she doesn't want to realise that! We have been best friends since we were two! Ever since we started Middle School she has been snobby to me and every one else! Right now I'm stuck between her and my other friends! Hopefully this will pass! (June 2006)

Friends

By Elle, 11, Nottingham, UK

Sometimes Friends can be annoying,
Lets admit it, they can be a pain
But so what, I don't care
Because if your friends you will make up again.

Sometimes they get on your nerves,
You wish sometimes they weren't there
But why on earth would I care?
Because the pain you have, your friends will share

Sometimes you think you hate them,
You want to send them packing,
But who really cares?
Because guess what? Your friends are smashing!

Best friend

By Alexandrina, 16, Chisinau, Moldova

Well, I can't say that real friends doesn't exist…they do…but not everybody can have one, in my opinion it depends on his personality…. If a person is sociable and has always spent free timeout side… I'm sure one will have a lot of friends….friends..not REAL or BEST friends… but this person will have more chances to find one… than one who sits home and doesn't want to communicate with anybody. I can give you an good example…. I like to meet a lot of new people… I like to discover more and more about everything and about everybody… because in my vision in time that we are alive we must to take everything possible from this Earth… but the best thing which we can get easily is friendships….!!!
I can tell you that I have lots of friends all over the world…for this I learned spanish… german… russian… french… and english because my mother language is romanian… so I'm proud of me and of my friends! Hope you like it! (July 2005)

Friends

By Diana, 11, Galt, CA, USA

I have many good friends. But, thing is one of my
friends has been snobby for a while and doesn´t want
to talk to me about why shes acting like this. We have
been best friends since kindergarten and tell each
other everything because we trust each other. And I still
don´t know what shes going through and I always tell
her we can go through this together what ever it is and
she just looks at me and starts to get mad at me for the
rest of the day. (July 2005)

False friends are like pebbles found everywhere,
But a true friend is like a diamond found, very rare.

My World

By Sarah, 12, Liverpool, UK

My friends are very special.
I have one thing to say to them: thanks!
I always know they'll be with me.
I have to have an operation soon and I would have never accepted it.
I use to have horrible dreams. I could see people cutting into me. I could'nt do it.
I phoned Hannah.
We had a talk. She cheered me up and I decided it was for the best and I should have the op.
This has shown me how important it is to keep your friends as close as possible to your heart.
Because without them I would have arthritis!

Why me?

By Al, 11, OK, USA

Why me? Every one looks at me. Everyone stares at me,
talking behind my back. Why me? Why does everything happen to me? Why do they make jokes when its not funny? Why do they call names when they know its wroung? Why me? Who are they to judge the not so popular? Its not right? Why me? (July 2005)

Friends

By Jenny, 11, London, UK

Friends are a type of family,
You laugh and play with at school.
Sometimes they push you over,
Or catch you when you fall.
But wouldn't it be sad,
If you had no friends at all?

About A Friend

By Danika, 13, Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand

Being a friend is hard
But the best job one could own
For they make a friend for life
And are not always alone.

Being a friend is great
You have dignity and pride
A friend will always praise you
As they know how hard you tried.

They are always there
To help you through the rough
But they will never force you
To be brave and to be tough.

Your friend will always comfort you
And be there all the way
They will always understand
When you're having a blue day.

When you lose a friend
They always start to fade
As you will go off laughing
With another friend you've made.

Please make sure those memories
Always stay in your heart
Because one day you will look back
And want the missing part.

Being a friend is hard
So please do not be sad
And promise me you won't forget
Everything we had.

I swear upon my life
I'll be there till the end
But you've got to stand on your own two feet
And believe you can my friend.

Me and my best friend

By Sophie, 9, St. Columb Minor, UK

One day I was at school when this disabled girl walked past me with this funny thing. I asked her "What's that?"
and she said "It helps me to walk because I am disabled".
It was called a frame. All these kids were climbing on and they said it was fun but I had a go and it was good but they kept having goes on it. And my best friend was called Rebecca and that was the day I met Rebecca and we have been best friends ever since. The End (July 2005)

HELP!

By Sasha, 11, UK

Hi I'm Sasha,
I dont have a best friend.
Oh how I wish to have one, some day.
How do you get best friends? You never know we could be best friends.

I once wanted to die, you know.
I was bullied! My 'supposed best friends' always teased me.
One day, in the play ground, I was 'ordered' to push to and throw the wobbly bench, for them. Me being me did it. But I got so tired I stopped. I could not handle it!

I stood up for myself (thought it was pretty good) but it just came out! I had to! I couldn't stop to think!

I called M. my real loyal friend a b*****. I had never used it in my life! I was told off and nearly expelled!!

What shall I do? (July 2005)

Things don't always stay the same

By Gabrielle, 11, England, London

Italy was the place she went, the place where the money for my postcard was spent. America was her next holiday, she went there a couple of times until I knew that's where she would stay. We rang each other and e-mailed every day but still we both knew it wouldn't be the same. I went to the club were we used to go together, we said we'd be friends for ever and ever. And when I see the sun shine, I remember when we splashed around in my paddling pool and everything was fine. We may not be in the same country any more but nothing stays as it used to be, we'll grow up eventually. And I'll visit her in New York and she can visit me here, even her baby brother Rocco would cheer! I still remember her and miss her so, seems just yesterday she was buying me a postcard from Rome...

Thank you for this website is is really good by the way! :)
