Who was Robin Hood?
By Nicole, 9, Nottingham, UK
Robin Hood was a man who lived a long time ago in England.
He made the King angry and had to hide in the Forest. It was called Sherwood Forest.
He met with other outlaws and they began to stop the rich people who travelled through the forest, take their money from them and give it to the poor people to make their lives better.
Robin Hood is famous in Nottingham. There is a statue of him outside the castle, as well as a Robin Hood trainline, and lots of places likes pubs are named after Robin or his outlaws.
They were Maid Marion, Friar Tuck, Little John, Alan a Dale, and Will Scarlett.
